TOMOMI is another special and organic kamairicha made by Miyazaki san in Miyazaki. A blend of the Yabukita and Kanaya Midori cultivars, this panfired tea has notes of toasted hazelnut and toasted white sesame seed, carried by notes of butter lettuce and dried nori.
Miyazaki san’s kamairicha can be steeped multiple times which makes for a very enjoyable drinking experience.
This organic kamairicha is the flagship product of Miyazaki Sabo. Picked at the end of May, during the first harvest, this premium tea is exceptionally rare.

We have been doing organic cultivation for tea with pesticide-free and chemical fertilizer-free for over 30 years and received certification of organic JAS in 2001.
We produce KAMAIRICHA a true specialty in our region, Miyazaki. Since this technique is difficult to master there are less and less producers that are producing Kamaricha. The tea is not steamed, but roasted in a large pan. Its fragrance is called “kamaka”, a sweet taste and refreshing feeling and can sometimes recall the scent of Jasmine tea. MIYAZAKI SABO has won many national awards for their kamairicha, including the Nihoncha Awards in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2021.What Customers say

One of our favourite teas which has a sweet but delicate flavour with a lovely aftertaste. The tea holds its flavour for the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Delicious!

This is probably my favorite Ikkyu green tea to date. It has a nutty characteristic to it that gives the tea a added dimension of flavor. I also think it has a more pronounced flavor as compared to some of the other green teas that are so light and delicate.

I enjoy the clean, mild taste of this tea in the morning. The second steep is as good as the first.
