SAWA
Premium Kabusecha
Description
2024 first harvest
SAWA is a beautiful representation of Kiya san’s craftsmanship. This kabusecha has deep-green, needle-shaped leaves, indicative of the shading process that this tea undergoes prior to harvesting.
The shading of this tea leads to more developed umami characteristics accented with notes of pine and narcissus. Its complex and aromatic liquor has notes of bok choy, nori, and artichoke. This tea can be steeped multiple times, and its distinctive layers can be enjoyed throughout the day.

best kabusecha?
So far my favorite kabusecha from Ikkyu. Rich flavor without being overpowering. Definitely the best to start with.
One of my favorites
Fruity. Sweet. Very deep green flavor.
Quality and Delicious Umami Flavour 10/10
I tried this tea (KABUSECHA) and I am a real fan of a strong umami flavour. This has one of the best I've sampled so far. Made it according to guidance on pack and it did not disappoint. In fact the tea had the flavour profile as listed on the website but I felt the umami flavour I experienced was higher than a four. I am using a lightly glazed clay kyusu so don't know if this made a difference. Absolutely love it and will be buying lots more of this tea.
Enjoyable
I've given 5 stars as I think the price for this tea is good value for money. It has quite a nice full bodies flavour to it and although not the most complex whilst drinking, it does have a very nice deep rich aftertaste on the tongue. So well worth trying in my view.
