Description

Mizota san has created a stunning and complex premium matcha using only the Yabukita cultivar. Stone-ground, AYAKO has a silken texture with a bright bitterness and a full mouthfeel. This matcha highlights all of the wonderful characteristics and authenticity of Yame.

It has notes of avocado, parsnip, and cocoa husk which are followed by hints of corn and chocolate. It is a unique experience that you will want to enjoy. AYAKO's hand-plucked, single-estate leaves are grown and transformed in Yame with stone-ground mortars.

*About the 250g option: please note that this is made at time of order and takes about 1 week to be prepared by the producer as it is a stone-ground matcha.

AYAKO

This is an equilibrated matcha in terms of taste, bitterness and lingering umami, offered at a decent price / quality ratio.

AYAKO

I am not a fan of much bitterness in matcha, so I much prefer Ikkyu's higher grade matcha, especially the premium organic matcha. The price point on this one is quite good though.
