Description

MATSUKO is a ceremonial-grade matcha made with a single-estate blend of the Yabukita, Sae midori and Okumidori cultivars. Its creamy and smooth mouthfeel is accented by a hint of bitterness and a sweet finish.

This matcha is produced by Koga Cha Gyo, the family-operated business of Koga san based in Yame. MATSUKO exemplifies the tastes of Kagoshima-grown leaves and has notes of artichoke, moss, and fresh cut grass, with hints of toasted hazelnut. Organic matcha is rare in Japan in general, and in Kyushu in particular.

The leaves of this premium ceremonial matcha come from a single estate in southern Kagoshima, and are selected by the skilled tea masters of Koga Cha Gyo in Yame.

One of my favorites matcha tea

MATSUKO matcha tea is one of my favorites, with a dominant herbal note in both taste and sweet aroma. I love it for my morning ceremonial. It's ideal for giving energy to get through the day, but to try it is to adopt it. I can't get used to just one matcha in the morning, it's really excellent.

Good Fragrance

Th color and fragrance are delicious. The flavor is a little weak for me. I like things strong!

Nice to see…but not only

Sometime we think that packaging is not important…but for the Matsuko tea, we are in another dimension: the Japanese art! But yes, look is nice but not only, when I openned my tea, whaoo, the parfum, yes not only the odor is the first impression fine like a first class parfum. The savor is present with the fine vegetal notes. I appreciate my Matsuko thea as a privilege. Thanks to IKKYU for your web site presentation and efficacy for delivery in Europe

BEST MATCHA EVER

I have had their tea before because I won their sencha tea on Instagram and it was the best green tea I have ever had in my life. So I knew they were good at making tea. I saw that they just got a matcha line and I knew I had to try. Their tasting notes were really helpful in picking the right matcha for me and I knew because of the "Mastuko" more vegetal taste that it would be the matcha for me. Also, they have some of the most beautiful packing I have seen on the market. The only downside and this is definitely just a preference is I wish I had an option to get non-organic for this matcha. Usually organic matcha's are not as umami because the soil is not as old as non-organic matcha. But besides that I was not disappointed. I will be a forever customer.
