This delicious single-cultivar matcha from Yame is Nakayama san's bestseller. Crafted from first-flush harvest in May, RIKU is a high-grade matcha made to be enjoyed both straight and in latte. 

Made with Saemidori cultivar, RIKU is packed with caffeine and catechins, and we love its lack of bitterness, sweet smooth taste and mouth-watering flavor with nutty tones. It reflects the long experience of Nakayama san's family with making Yame matcha.

Nakayama san recommends to use 5g per serving for a latte with an intense and rewarding matcha time experience.

NAKAYAMA KICHISHOEN is a family-owned tea business established in Oku-Yame (Fukuoka) in 1865.

Nakayama Yoshiaki san, the son of the current owner, is dedicated to make products that everyone, in Japan and overseas, can enjoy. A sencha and matcha specialist, this tea producer also runs a popular tea shop in Yame with original and delicious drinks. NAKAYAMA KICHISHOEN is Halal and JFS-B certified, a Japanese food safety management standard aligned with international standards and that guarantees the implementation of Codex HACCP.
