YOHEI
Competition Gyokuro
Description
The fresh leaves of this competition-grade dento gyokuro were selected in tea fields in the Hoshino, Kuroki and Joyo districts of Yame by the skilled tea masters of Koga Seicha, strong with the experience of their 200-year history.
Its beautiful liquor offers an extraordinary tasting experience with a full flavor, low astringency, and rich color. High levels of caffeine round out this umami-filled blend, making it a fragrant delight to drink.
This exclusive Gyokuro, will develop distinct and complex notes at each brew. Starting from dark leafy greens and fresh nori intertwined with hints of toasted slivered almonds, to the fragrance of white spring flowers. The Umami will balance through out all steeps.
IKKYU is delighted to launch this extraordinary new product right in time for the official start of the 600th anniversary of the Yame tea area.
YOHEI dento gyokuro is sold in 100g, in the original washi packaging of Koga Seicha, with a IKKYU tasting note and information sheet.
Only sold at IKKYU.
